There are many excellent Real Estate companies in the Auburn-Opelika area. Some of them specialize in big houses or new construction. Others like to work with first-time home buyers.
That's not us, and that's not our company.
That's not us, and that's not our company.
My name is Chris, and I'm a grinder. I spent 12 years down and dirty in the apartment business every day, and I have learned it from the ground up. For years, my rental properties were my only source of income. If you are looking for someone to tell you about the best home builders or the newest subdivisions, or anything about school districts, you can probably find someone who knows more than I do.
What I do know is investment properties. Specifically, residential rentals in Auburn. That could be "non-student" rentals in residential neighborhoods, or it could be student rentals close to the Auburn University campus. When a lot of people think of buying rentals in Auburn, their mind automatically goes to student properties, but there is a lot more going on here besides that. Investing in single-family homes is easier than student properties in a lot of ways. If you are looking to take money from your 1031 exchange and invest in single family homes or even multifamily properties in Auburn, we can help. Maybe you want to move past your first few rental houses and are a little unsure of how to do it on a bigger scale. Maybe you just want one unit, like a condo for your kids to use for school, or to rent out, or even to use for gamedays - that is not a problem.
For almost 25 years, I have bought houses and condos, I have bought apartments and cut them into condos, I have bought apartment buildings and turned them around. There are only a few other investors in the Auburn apartment market who have gained the same level of experience, but you won't have a chance to learn from them because they don't want to give away their secrets. They will only work for their own benefit - not yours.
This business is going to help the next wave of Auburn Real Estate investors with information, education, and deal-making. Just getting started? I can teach you how the big boys evaluate deals, and how to calculate important numbers like NOI and Cap rates. I can teach you about zoning and how it affects a properties value. And I can also teach you how to options to tie up properties you want... pretty much anything you want to know to be a top-notch investor. Or, you can just use the info to help protect yourself from downside risks.
Starting in January 2015, this business was launched as a way for me to sell some of my own holdings and find some new investments. When setting up the company, I realized that my experience might be just as valuable as my properties. The economy in Auburn has been growing steadily, and banks are lending again. Investors are looking to get in, or to get bigger. Some of those people may want someone experienced to hold their hand for a little while as they are getting started. That's fine with me, I'm ready to jump in and help.
In the Fall of 2024, I decided to team up with my friend Nick Hayes at Roots Realty in Auburn. Frankly, I decided that I needed to learn some more about local development to better help the clients that we coming to me, and to provide my Buyers and Sellers with better team coverage when I was out of town. I debated the move for several years, actually, but now that the decision has been made, I am excited for this new chapter in my professional life!
